Easter dinner is a meal I look forward to all year. Not just for the great food, but the chance to hang out with the family. Usually my family all travel to my sisters house. The house has been in our family for generations. The last few years we've been rotating from that house in Carbondale Pa. To my house in Endicott. This year my wife and I are hosting the dinner again.

My wife Chris is an AMAZING cook. Just look at all the weight I've put on since I met her. For Easter, she cooks the traditional Russian Easter meal. She makes homemade Paska (Easter Bread), ham, halupki (pigs in the blanket), hrin (beet relish that is made with horseradish from our backyard), hrutka, (sweet scrambled egg ball), pressed cheese, kielbassa, and more. Not to mention the homemade deserts, buchta, wich is a nut roll and lekvar roll. I'm not Russian, so I didn't have this growing up but I'm glad she makes it.

We'll have other deserts as well. One of my sisters will make a bunny cake and others will bring different pies. Just typing this is making my mouth water. Not to mention the ham sandwiches that I'll be eating all next week.

I hope you have a great Easter and I hope your dinner is as good as mine.
