I love the fact that we give you several options to listen to Classic Rock on 99.1 The Whale.

Those options include listening to 99.1 FM on your radio (of course), through our website at 991thewhale.com, the Whale Mobile App and on Amazon Alexa enabled devices.

I love them all, and really enjoy tuning in through my Alexa devices. I have one in my office, three at home and I've set up a couple of my relatives with one. Obsessed? Well, I don't know about that. OK, fine. I am.

Recently, we did an update on The Whale Alexa Skill. They are called skills rather than apps. Here's the easy steps to follow:

Download the Alexa app (find Apple version here or the Android version here)
Click here to enable the 99.1 The Whale skill.
Once you've enabled the skill, just say, “Alexa, Play 99 One The Whale.”

It's that simple. We just updated the skill, and rather than saying "Alexa, Play The Whale", you say "Alexa, Play 99 One The Whale."

So, get that new Whale skill (download for free) and enjoy your favorite Classic Rock and Whale personalities on Alexa.
