Paul McCartney has had decades of success, both in writing and performing songs with one of the biggest bands in music history. He also had a skyrocket career as a solo artist!

McCartney (and Lennon credited) wrote the song for a 1968 album referred to as, The White Album. Reportedly, he was looking for a loud raunchy sound to contribute to the harder edged groups, that were emerging on the music scene.

In 2014, many of rock's elite contributed to a Paul McCartney tribute album called, The Art of McCartney.
