With the start of public school only a few days away, some families may be trying to squeeze in a little more time at the beach. Unfortunately, one facility in Broome County is out of reach again.
Dorchester Park in Whitney Point, which has been plagued by algae bloom closures over the summer, is closed again September 8 & 9 but this time it’s for a man-made issue.
Broome County Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Services says the park is closed for paving for the next two days.
