Covid-19 Vaccine to be Available to All New York Adults Soon
Millions of additional New Yorkers are about to be able to make appointments to receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that residents over the age of 30 will be permitted to schedule a vaccine appointment starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Cuomo said all New Yorkers 16 and older will be able to make an appointment beginning April 6.
Vaccine information is available at ny.gov/vaccine. Appointments for the vaccination site at SUNY Broome in the town of Dickinson may be made at gobroomecounty.com/hd/coronavirus/vaccine.
Cuomo said as of Monday, nearly 30 percent of New Yorkers had received at least one vaccine dose. About 17 percent have completed the Covid-19 vaccine series.
According to the governor's office, 4,575 are hospitalized in the state because of the coronavirus. There were 57 Covid-19 death in New York reported on Sunday.
