Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is said to be trying to figure out how to reenter public life following his resignation last summer.

According to The Wall Street Journal, people close to Cuomo are discussing how he could make his first public appearance since leaving office amid sexual harassment allegations.

The story reported Cuomo and his aides have been making calls to former allies and political operatives to complain about state Attorney General Letitia James. Cuomo has contended her office's investigation into allegations about his behavior was politically motivated.

The Journal story indicated some people who have spoken with Cuomo or his aides believe he may be considering running for attorney general this year.

But Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi denied that the former governor was interested in seeking that office.
