COVID-19 Infections at SUNY Campuses Now Listed Online

Parents, students and the general public now have a window into the coronavirus situation on New York college campuses. 

Governor Andrew Cuomo and Chancellor Jim Malatras have announced a State University of New York system-wide COVID-19 case tracker dashboard at www.suny.edu/covid19-tracker (note: the site was operational as of 4 a.m. 9/8 but a check of the site a few hours later showed a problem connecting to the information)

According to the site, Binghamton University has a total of 32 positive test results and six students in isolation on campus.  SUNY Broome Community College has noted four positive tests in the past two weeks.

The COVID-19 Case Tracker dashboard provides real time information on cases, testing, quarantine, fatalities and isolation space availability across SUNY’s 64 colleges and universities.  The data is to be reported by campuses every 24 hours and added to the dashboard daily. 

Meanwhile, SUNY Oneonta remains the biggest hotspot for the coronavirus with the number of students infected at last report has surpassed 650. 

The cases of COVID-19 on the central New York campus has prompted officials to send students home and all classes to be moved to all on-line for the entire fall semester.
