Construction Work to Affect Busy Endwell Intersection for Months
Drivers are being advised to avoid a heavily-traveled town of Union intersection during a major improvement project.
Town officials say the work at Hooper Road and Watson Boulevard is scheduled to start on Monday. It's expected to be completed by July 30.
Traffic signal equipment at the intersection is to be upgraded as part of the project.
The work also will bring the intersection into compliance with accessibility guidelines under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Curb ramps will be reconstructed and crosswalks will be added for each intersection crossing.
Town officials say motorists should seek alternate routes on weekdays to avoid the construction zone.
