Back in the mid 90s, we came up with a brilliant idea. I can count at least four other brilliant ideas we've had since then. We're radio people, not rocket scientists.

Anyway, the details are a bit sketchy since we were in one of those famous 90s staff meetings, where a certain type of beverage was being served, if you know what I mean. How else do you think we could come up with good ideas?

I don't remember exactly who came up with this idea (probably someone heard of it being done at some other radio station in the country) but ideas are meant to be stolen, right?

Someone asked the question, how long would it take to play every song in our Classic Rock library. Our math wasn't so good, so we decided to give it a try on the air. The rules were simple. Play every song from A to Z by title that were in our music library, except Christmas songs. We just thought no one would want to hear a bunch of Christmas songs in May.

After our inaugural year of Classic Rock to A to Z, we determined it a big success. The reaction was overwhelming, and we decided to make it an annual event. It's great to listen to songs that you don't hear often, along with all the other great Classic Rock tunes that stand the test of time.

This year is no different, and we began Classic Rock from A to Z on Monday, playing every song from Binghamton's Largest on-air Classic Rock Library by title. To make sure you get to hear the maximum songs, A to Z airs weekdays from 6am to 7pm, and we figure  it will take about two weeks minimum to get to the last song in the letter 'Z.'

Thanks for continuing to ask for Classic Rock from A to Z. It's fun to listen to, and we love playing all those songs for you. Enjoy!
