Celebrating the Life of Jimi Hendrix
November 27th, 1942, Johnny Allen Hendrix came into the world in Seattle, Washington. Today would have been his 75th birthday.
He began the musical career while in his early teens, and except for a short time in the service, Jimi honed his talents into becoming one of the best rock guitarists ever.
His list of hits is a long one, including The Wind Cries Mary, Hey Joe, Purple Haze, Crosstown Traffic, Purple Haze, and so much more. the Jimi Hendrix Experience produced 3 studio and one live album.
Unfortunately, we lost Jimi on September 17th, 1970 while he was in London. One can only imagine the amount of great music he would have produced if he was still with us today.
In honor of this great musician, let's take a look at JImi performing Foxey Lady at the Miami Pop Festival in 1968.
