Cars Riddled by Gunfire in Harford
A Town of Marathon man is charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon and other counts in connection with several cars being hit by bullets in the Town of Harford.
Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they were called to Route 200 on Sunday, May 1 where the vehicles, one of them occupied at the time, were hit by gunfire.
Investigators say they determined 28-year-old Billy Jack Foster Junior had fired the rounds.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for a home on Route 200 and Foster was arrested without incident. Deputies say firearms were secured from the home and controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were confiscated.
In addition to two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Foster is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and three misdemeanor counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia.
Foster was released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear in Town of Harford Court this week.
There was no word of anyone being hurt by the discharged rounds.
