Broome Health Department Warns of Possible COVID Exposure on Bus

While Greyhound buses aren’t allow to drop off passengers in Broome County, the health department is still issuing an advisory for bus passengers who may have disembarked elsewhere and traveled to Broome County: There was possible exposure to someone with COVID-19 on a bus that left Cleveland Ohio early May 6.

Bus Schedule 4178 left Cleveland at around 4:30 a.m., passed through Erie, Pennsylvania and connected with bus schedule 0317 in Buffalo that departed at around 9 a.m. before arriving in Syracuse at around 12:30 p.m. that day. 

Anyone on either bus is advised to contact their health department.  Broome County Health officials say if any county residents were riding on either of those buses, they should call (607) 778-2802.

The bus did not pass through Broome County.

There are no Greyhound buses using the Greater Binghamton Transportation Center until further notice.  That has been the case since mid-March when County Executive Jason Garnar requested and Greyhound Lines agreed to not stop in Broome County during the pandemic.
