Time is running out for Broome County families to register for this year's Toys for Tots program.

Registration at the program headquarters in the former Macy's store in the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City will close Saturday, December 12.

Parents or guardians must be a Broome County resident and provide proof of address, must provide birth certificates for each child, if not the parent.. provide family court custody documents and show photo identification.

Donations are being accepted at the headquarters through Monday, December 21 while drop barrels are located at area municipal police departments and the sheriff's office. The barrels for the local program are marked "Broome County Toys for Tots."

The program has been providing new toys for Broome County children between the ages of one and ten since 1962. This year the program is also accepting monetary donations through paypal and Vitmo through the Broome County Toys for Tots facebook page.
