
World Cup Watch Party Tonight In Binghamton: What To Know
Well, fans of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the time has come. Games have begun.
Day one was Thursday, June 11, and will continue through July 19th in 16 cities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

If you are not one of the fortunate ones to see the action of the games in person, there are three watch parties scheduled in the Binghamton area to catch some of the excitement on a big screen.
Tonight, Friday, June 12th, is the first of three watch parties. This one will be held on Washington Street to catch the USA take on Paraguay. Large LED screens will broadcast the match in the street, which will be closed to traffic.
According to a release from the Binghamton Police Department, this morning is reminding residents and visitors of the following ahead of tonight’s event in downtown Binghamton:
- Washington Street between Court and Hawley streets will be closed to vehicular traffic.
- The watch party begins at 7 p.m., with streaming of the USA vs. Paraguay game starting at 9 p.m.
- Open containers will be permitted only in the designated area on Washington Street between Court and Hawley streets. This area will be standing room only, and attendees in this area must be 21 or older. No outside alcohol is permitted.
- An alcohol-free watch area will be set up in the Metro Center Washington Street Mall. Chairs will be permitted in this area only.
- Paid parking is available at the City’s parking garages at 7 Hawley Street and 183 Water Street, the City-owned surface parking lot at 73 Collier Street, and the normal on-street parking areas.
Binghamton Police and Binghamton Fire Department will be on scene to provide public safety coverage of the event.
According to the Binghamton Mayor's Office, the next two watch parties in Binghamton will be as follows:
- USA vs. Australia – Friday, June 19 at 3 p.m. at Recreation Park on the West Side. Large LED screens will broadcast the match, and the park, pool, and carousel will be open during regular hours.
- USA vs. Turkey – Thursday, June 25 at 10 p.m. at Mirabito Stadium in downtown Binghamton. In partnership with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the match will be broadcast on the outfield Jumbotron with audio through the ballpark’s sound systems. Doors open at 6 p.m.
