Once again, Broome County is the home for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Softball Championships.

The tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 12th and 13th, at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park, a four-field, state-of-the-art softball facility located at 100 Cutler Pond Road in Binghamton.

The field was originally the BAGSAI facility, which underwent a $4 million transformation, reopening in 2024 as a premier softball destination.

The tournament will bring several teams, families, and fans from across the Empire State. According to Broome County officials, Grand Slam Park was selected to host the championships through 2027.

The complex has held many sporting events for youth sports tournaments and regional competitions. In 2025, there were over 40,000 visitors, including athletes, coaches, families, tournament staff, and spectators.

Visit Binghamton noted that Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park brought in over $5.3 million in economic impact during the 2025 season through overnight stays, dining, transportation, shopping, and other local spending.

In addition to teams from across the state, our region will be represented by Maine-Endwell, Susquehanna Valley, and Deposit-Hancock.

For fans planning to attend one or many of the games, parking will be available at SUNY Broome Community College, which is located across from Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park.

Officials note that a free shuttle service will operate continuously between the parking area and the complex throughout the two-day tournament.
