As I was getting stuff ready for this morning's show, I found an article on a website called Rehabs.com. It was a story about a new survey that asked 6,000 Americans about eating habits when they are drunk. Taco Bell came out on top as by far the most popular place to go when you need to soak up some adult beverages. The rest of the top 5 in order included; McDonald's, Waffle House, Denny's, and IHOP. Or should that say 'IHOB"?

Of course, we don't have a waffle house here in the Binghamton area, but I must admit I've shown up at Denny's hammered more than a few times after going out to the bars and hanging out watching the band close the place. After the last song, or sometimes after the last of the band's equipment was packed away, we would either have a designated driver or we would all pile into a cab and head off to a restaurant.

Even locally owned restaurants see their fair share of drunk people trying to sober up or at least crave there hunger. I've been to the Skylark Diner on the Vestal Parkway and the Park Diner on Conklin Avenue after drinking many of times back in the day. Even when I was younger in my hometown of Carbondale Pa, there was a restaurant called Alexander's. I remember going there many nights after drinking and I always felt bad for the waitstaff. As someone who worked in the restaurant business for six years, I knew the last thing they wanted to deal with at 3 in the morning or a bunch of young, drunk, loud mouths. We never caused any problems, but I'm sure we made our share of messes and we were told to quiet down politely just about every time we were there.

How about you? Where did you like to go to grab something to eat after a night of drinking. And do you still find yourself doing this?
