Anti-Police Graffiti Mars Binghamton Masonic Temple
A historic building on Main Street in Binghamton has been defaced with an obscenity directed at law enforcement officers.
Someone scrawled "F--- 12" in red spray paint on the columns on the front of the nearly-century-old Masonic Temple building on the city's West Side.
The slang expression directed against the police has appeared online for several years but it has gained popularity on social media and graffiti in the United States in recent days.
The phrase was sprayed on the Key Bank building at Court and State streets on Sunday.
Police have reported no arrests in connection with a series of downtown and West Side graffiti incidents in recent days.
The Masonic Temple complex has been vacant for decades. A developer has announced plans to convert the top five floors of the building into apartments.
