Broome County Executive Jason Garnar is reviving his regular briefings on the coronavirus but has scheduled weekly updates instead of daily sessions with reporters. 

The Democrat will hold the news conferences at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays.

A person at Broome-Tioga Motocross on Route 79 in Lisle July 12 has tested positive for COVID-19.  Health officials say the person was at the track between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. July 12.

Anyone who was at that location during that time period is asked to self-quarantine until July 26 and contact their health care provider if they show symptoms like cough, fever or shortness of breath.

Over recent days, the Health Department has sent out advisories about possible exposure at Lee’s Nail Salon and Nips Park Avenue Saloon in Binghamton, a 4th of July gathering on Front Street, the Applebee’s restaurant on Front Street and the Vestal Farmer’s Market.
