I haven't been this excited since my Phillies won their last World Series! Tonight, the B-Mets are at home for game 3 of the Eastern league Championship Series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

They could wrap it up after taking a 2-0 lead in the 5 games series. The B-Mets even have 2 good luck charms to root them: Roger Neel, from our sister station WNBF, will be the PA announcer and Louie G. from our station WILD 104 is playing the National Anthem on his trumpet!

The beauty of this B-Mets team is their ability to work together. They truly exemplify the word "team." And having Pedro Lopez, who is a great manager at the helm solidifies it.

It took 20 years for the team to get back into the championship. 20 years. And that is just the tip of the iceberg in Binghamton's love affair with baseball. Wouldn't it be something to add a new championship to the history that includes the likes of Whitey Ford and Thurman Munson already?

Tickets are available for tonight's game, so get out there in droves and support OUR team. Binghamton's team. I've said it many times; we are damn lucky to have a team right here. Don't forget, there will be fireworks after the game.

Go B-Mets!!!!!
