Lee Ann Taylor
Lee Ann is a product of New Jersey; just like the BEST tomatoes!
Her Dad is an Episcopal priest and her Mom was a secretary and sang in the church choir.
Lee Ann was hooked on music from age 4. Cheesy as it is, her first album was Tony Orlando & Dawn. REALLY!
She did a little singing as she got older, then the radio/tv bug hit her when she became part of RVTV at her high school, Rancocas Valley Regional, in Mt. Holly, NJ.
The day after Lee Ann graduated high school, she took a job as a nanny for the twins of a then popular morning TV show host. Seeing the inner workings of the show pushed Lee Ann to radio and tv even more!
Determined to get into the media, she talked her way into a scholarship at Centenary College, where she became station manager of WNTI (the college radio station) in her second year.
Somehow, she moved to PA during college and life continued.
As life does, it sidetracked her after college into a management job at Rite Aid, then.....finally she got her break at a tiny station in Elizabethville, PA. She then headed to a station in York-Lancaster-Harrisburg, PA and stayed for several years before a jump to Delaware and back to Jersey. Lee Ann had NEVER expected to get back there!
The unemployment bug bit Lee Ann, so she talked her way onto CNN's 30 Second Pitch, where Don Morgan saw her and viola! she came to the Whale!
Life has been great since living in the Twin Tiers. Lee Ann met her husband, Tom, after his band won the Whale House Band contest. Of course, he couldn't resist her and they got hitched. They live just across the border in PA with their dog, Cocoa, and cats, Toonces & Muffin.
