Ah, winter. It's my least favorite season. It's cold, windy, snowy and icy. What good can come of all that, I ask you?

Well, for those of us who live in the Northeast, it's just a part of life, and I understand complaining about it doesn't do any good. The only answer is to move to a warmer climate. Well, the other three seasons in the Northeast are pretty much awesome for me, and I've survived a few decades of harsh winters, so I can get through it every year.

Maybe when (if) I retire, I might become one of those 'snowbird' type people. Live up here from late spring to mid fall , and then hightail it south or west for the winter. I know a lot of people who do just that, and they love it.

Anyway, since we have a few months of winter to get through, my question is, what activities get you through the coldest months of the year? I pretty much go from work to home and that's about it. Yes, I know there are many outdoor activities to be a part of, but I'm thinking of something that may be an indoor type activity that I'd enjoy. I prefer to limit my outdoor winter activities to shoveling snow.

We live in an area that offers many activities year round, so what would you suggest for a radio guy like me to make these cold months more fun?
