She was inducted into the National Distance Running Hall of Fame in 1998.
The Celebrating Women's Athletics Luncheon is hosted by the Binghamton Bearcats Athletics Association and sponsorebd by M & T Bank. Since 2006 the Celebrating Women's Athletics Luncheon has raised over $450,000 for women's athletic scholarships. In 2018 ten scholarships were awarded from proceeds raised by the event. This year's luncheon is a complete sellout with close to 800 people expected to attend.
