With Reopening Plans, What Are Your Weekend Plans
Depending on where you live, there are reopening plans happening right now in Pennsylvania and New York states.
For New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced guidelines for phase two reopening. I will get to visit the dentist the second week of June, and apparently the same goes for finally getting my hair cut next week. I think I'll call my hair stylist just the same before visiting.
As you know, New York State has been implementing phases for certain regions around the state. In Pennsylvania, they code each county with a color. Red Phase means only essential businesses and stay at home orders. Yellow allows for some reopenings and green means all businesses must follow Pennsylvania and CDC guidelines and for social settings, meaning less restrictions, while continuing to follow the same Pennsylvania and CDC guidelines.
SInce I camp in Bradford County, I am spending my weekends in an area that is now in the green phase. Restaurants can now open for dining in. There is a diner I love to frequent when I'm in the county, and as of today, they are open for dine-in but I'm not sure I'm ready to go back just yet.
I'm still reluctant to socialize with my friends at the campground, but maybe this weekend, as long as I follow the campground Covid rules, I should be fine. A roaring campfire, beer and good friends who I've not seen on over 7 months, sure is inviting.
Oh yea, my lawn will also be beckoning me to tend to it. I haven't mowed the lawn around my camper in about three weeks, so that will be a fun project this weekend. And on Sunday when I return home, my backyard will also be needing a trim. Seems like that's my weekend project, every weekend for the summer. Is the grass growing more quickly than normal? Maybe not, but it sure seems that way.
Have a great weekend, stay safe, have some fun and let the grass grow. You can tend to that on Monday.
