Looking for a little bit of an extra kick to your morning routine? A stop at Dunkin and maybe your local pharmacy may be in your future.

Sure, a piping hot cup of coffee gets the day going on the right foot. But what about a piping hot donut? A new menu item at America's favorite coffee stop is offering up a mouth-watering breakfast snack.

Earlier this week Dunkin introduced the Spicy Ghost Pepper donut. Sound interesting right?

The Spicy Ghost Pepper donut is coated with strawberry frosting and red sprinkles. Where does the spice come from? Well sprinkled into the donut is cayenne pepper and ghost pepper.

Ghost pepper, for those of you who may not know, sits on the Scoville scale at 1,041,427 SHU. Aka...IT'S HOT.

A few employees here at Townsquare Media tried the Dunkin Ghost Pepper donut and shared with us their reviews. One ghost-pepper-donut-eaters said:

"It tasted like sweet and sour chili sauce. Like the bottled kind from Panda Express. It's good. Not delicious. Edible."

I have not heard back from said co-worker if they needed tums or suffered from some kind of heartburn/upset stomach situation. So it looks like you're in the clear.

If you're a fan of spice then you know Sean Evans of First We Feast's "Hot Ones." Will the Ghost Pepper Donut be added to the "Hot Ones" line up?

Are you brave enough to try the new Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut? I think my suggestion, personally, is to get an iced coffee on a side to ease the spice a little bit.
