What Makes a Great Nap
Monday is a great day for a nap... actually, every day is a great day for a nap. This morning I found a survey all about napping.
I love when I get to take a nap. Sometimes, I don't even mean to take a nap. I'll just sit down on the couch after working all day and start checking some things on my phone, then the next thing I know my eyes are closing. Then I just put my head back and enjoy a little snooze on the couch.
According to the Daily Mail, people were surveyed and asked to come up with the elements of a perfect nap. Some of the results included; taking a nap in the dark cool room with a blanket and one pillow. They also suggested that the nap should last more than 20 minutes. I think there is a fine line between a cat nap that gives you extra energy, and one that's too long and that causes you to be tired for the rest of the day.
They also ask people where the strangest places they have taken naps? Some of those places included; in a coal mine, in the trunk of a car, and in an abandoned chemical plant. That's probably not very healthy. One person said they took a nap at a funeral. I have fallen asleep in an MRI machine as well as the dentist chair while getting a root canal.
I have been so tired that I've almost fallen asleep on the toilet. Can imagine waking up in a puddle of blood after smacking your face off the floor in your bathroom because you fell asleep on the can? Then you would have to explain to everybody how you broke your nose. "Yeah, see, I was sitting on the toilet and fell asleep, next thing I knew my nose hit the floor tiles". I don't know how many people would believe you.

All this talk of napping is making me tired. I think I will have to take a nap when I get home. Or, maybe I'll just close my office door and put my head down on my desk.
