The temperatures are cooling down, and daylight hours are getting shorter. For me, camping season has ended and that means I need to find something else to occupy my time for the next six months.

So, what do I do? I look for compelling, exciting dramas, comedies, adventurous type series and movies on television and streaming services. Okay, I will also accept some of those 'leave your brain at the door' type series and movies.

Last month, I decided to see what the fuss of the 'Schitt's Creek' streaming series was all about. Yea, it's pretty funny, and I've always been a fan of Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara. It's a six season series, and I binge watched it all in just over a month. I imagine I'd be considered an amateur binge watcher in the eyes of the most serious binge watchers. I'm watching the entire series over again and find it just as funny as the first time around.

I also just discovered a limited series that you might like to check out - 'The Queen's Gambit.' It's about a very talented chess player and how she deals with addiction. Whether you are a fan of chess (I am not) or not, it's worth checking out.

And another series I got into late in the game is The Mandalorian. I've always been a fan of the Star Wars series, and figured I give this a try. Surprisingly, I really like it, and much to my delight and I'm sure many others, the second season debuts on Friday (October 30th.) And there's always my fall back television series - 'The Office.' Sure, I've seen every episode at least 10 times, but when I need a good laugh, the cast of 'The Office' are always there to deliver...even if I know all the punch lines.

Of course, normally at this time of the year, I would be watching the only reality show that I am interested in - 'Survivor.' I have watched it since the first season. Unfortunately, the pandemic has temporarily put the brakes on the show. So what are you watching this fall?
