Union-Endicott Student Making Massive Flight For A Good Cause
I am so thrilled to keep running across good news stories, especially when they involve someone or something locally in the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania.
My latest find is from a student who attends Union-Endicott High School, currently as a Junior. His name is Luke Pylypciw. According to the Union-Endicott High School Facebook page, Luke underwent almost two years of training, education, and exams to become a licensed private pilot. He accomplished his goal.
Luke's plans for the future include attending the Florida Institute of Technology. He is looking at studying Aviation Management to pursue a career in flying professionally. I have no doubt he will achieve his dreams.
But that's not all. Luke has many personal connections through family members who have served in the military, so after much research, he has become an advocate for the Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) organization. Luke created his own website for a project he plans on achieving this spring called Loop For The Troops. In it, Luke explains what Hope For The Warriors is all about:
"HOPE provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health, wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources." - Luke Pylypciw
April 8th, Luke plans to fly around the eastern portion of the United States, taking off from the Binghamton Airport, with the intention of raising awareness and raising funds for Hope For The Warriors. We wish him luck. Check out his story, information about his upcoming trip, and if you can help his cause, visit Loop For The Troops.
