Truck Over Embankment at Nineveh Bridge Leaves One Injured

Broome County Emergency Services officials say a driver is recovering from what appeared to be minor injuries following a tractor trailer crash on East Windsor Road October 5.

The rig reportedly went over an embankment at Nineveh Bridge at around 4:31 p.m. and the crash closed East Windsor Road for over an hour.

The Broome Firewire reports crews from Harpursville and Colesville were called to the crash site.  Authorities say the driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment for what appeared to be a head and leg injury.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. There’s no word on whether charges are pending.
