Tioga Opportunities Incorporated is hosting an event August 18 to call attention to agencies and services that help residents deal with the emotional impact of the ongoing pandemic.

“Agency Spotlight: Grief During COVID-19” is being presented from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Countryside Community Center and will be livestreamed on the T.O.I. YouTube Channel. For in-person reservations call 607-687-4120 extension 308.

In addition to Tioga Opportunities, Tioga County Mental Hygiene, A New Hope Center and CASA-Trinity will be presenting information about their programs and services.

A panel discussion will also be open to talk about COVID-19-related grief.

Officials say that grief can manifest in a number of ways including in personal relationships, job and school performance as well as cases of substance abuse and domestic violence.
