This Weekend Is the Owego Strawberry Festival

This weekend in the Southern Tier, it's one of the biggest festivals of the season. Friday and Saturday you can enjoy the 39th Annual Owego Strawberry Festival taking place in downtown Owego.

There will be a parade, the Strawberry Shake 5K, vendors, wine and beer, entertainment, and lots of stuff for the kids, and admission is free.

Friday the festival kicks off at 5 and ends with a fireworks display at 10 pm. Saturday the hours are from 9 a.m. till 5 PM. There really is something for everyone.

There are four stages set up to provide live music all day. Some of the bands playing the Festival this year include Wreckless Marci, 5th Gear Band, The Tijuana Danger Dogs, The Gents, The Kiil, and Hot Dogs and Gin (featuring 10-year-old-guitar wiz Eamonn Hubert, who just returned from touring the nation with 'School of Rock The Musical') just to name a few..

For the kids there will be dinosaurs roaming around both days and superheroes roaming around including Spider-Man from 6 till 10 on Friday.
