The Church Festival Season has officially begun in the Greater Binghamton Area. It kicked off last week with the Grecian Festival in Vestal. It continues this weekend with the St. Anthony's Feast Days in Endicott. The event is held at the Church on Odell Ave and features music, games and some awesome Italian food. It's always a good time and there is truly something for everyone, even gamblers. Just about everything is under a huge tent of in the basement of the church so even if mother nature decides not to cooperate, you can still enjoy yourself.

Also, this weekend is the Power in Purple, Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society. This year's walk returns to MacArthur Park in Vestal for the first time since the flood damaged the School so badly, that it had to be rebuilt. All the money raised helps to fight cancer as well as to help those in need that are battling the disease.

I'm sure there are other events happening in our area, but these are just two of the ones that I will be checking out this weekend.
