Things I Want / Need to Get Done Before the Snow Flies
It's hard to believe it's the middle of October already. For the last month and a half or so, I've had things to do every Saturday, and of course now that football is here, my Sundays have been spent watching football and hanging out with friends.
Last week I was thinking it would be nice to get at least one more round of golf in before the courses closed for the season. It looks like that's going to happen later on this afternoon.
Yesterday afternoon, we received a text from the person that has been running out Monday night golf league for the past few years. It's turns out that a bunch of people from our league saw the weather forecast for today and decided to invite everybody from the league to play at least one more round before the golf season comes to an end.
Saturday I have to get outside and do some yard work. There are flowers and plants that need to be cut down to the ground before winter comes. I'm not sure how much longer Mother Nature will cooperate with nice weather on the weekends.
I'm sure I will have to rake the leaves out of my yard a couple times before the season is done, even though I've been keeping up with the leaves for the most part by mowing my lawn and bagging the gas and leaves once a week. I'd much rather do that than rake.
As much as I would love to see the weather remain sunny and in the low sixties for the rest of the year, I know I'm dreaming and the snow will be flying soon.
So I will truly try and enjoy every minute of golf this afternoon, and hope I can get the majority of the yard work done at some point this weekend.
