There’s A Dinosaur – I Mean Alligator – Roaming This Golf Course!
So, let's set the scene for you:
You're out enjoying a nice day off, playing golf down at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, and your ball strays to a sand pit. As you begin walking towards it, you notice that there's a bright red and neon green safari Jeep coming towards you with a grey-haired old man, and a few 40-something archaeologists stunned at what they're seeing (shameless Jurassic Park plug... for a colorful description).
The point I'm trying to make here, is "Holy $#!*, that's no alligator, that's a dinosaur!"
“People have heard that he is out here and that is all they want to see so they will bring spectators to ride so somebody can get a picture,” pro shop clerk Wendy Schofield told News 3. “He doesn’t bother anybody and they don’t bother him, he’s like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County.”
