
Then & Now: Binghamton New York’s Upper Front Street Part Two
What is this obsession with then and now? You know, looking at a part of your community as it stands today and remembering what it used to look like.
I for one love to reminisce about just that. And thanks to the wonders of Google Maps, you can go back in history in photos. Well at least for 10 to 15 years, depending on when the earliest photo was taken by the mapping service.
I have written a few articles with then and now photos and as I compile them, there are places that I forgot about, places that are the same, but with a different business, and places that remodeled/expanded their building to its more modern look.

Last November, I decided to tackle Upper Front Street Binghamton, not realizing just how much change there has been for the past decade or so. There was so much I knew I would have to do this in two parts.
Well, better late than ever, I have finally finished part two. Part one began at the intersection of Upper Front Street and Old Front Street to the underpass of Interstate 81. You can view the then and now photos here.
Part two goes from the underpass of Interstate 81 to the intersection of Upper Front Street and Route 12A. Take a look and see what changes have been made over the past dozen years or so.
