The Knicks Gentle Giant – Doug’s Sports Rap

There's a new rising star in the NBA, and he wears number 6 for the New York Knicks, the team was booed by fans when they selected him as the number four draft pick.

The development of Kristaps Porzingis has been nothing short of amazing for the team and its fans, the seven foot gentle giant from Latvia is the talk of the NBA.

Halfway through his rookie season, coaches praise him, the players respect him, and the fans cheer and chant his name.

He is averaging 13.6 points per game, 8 rebounds with 42.4 % and 33.6% behind the 3 point arc.

The Knicks are 19-20 and have won 5 of their last 7 and one of the big reasons is number 6.

I said at the start of preseason that Knicks fans will have to be patient as this team developes, and almost half way through the regular NBA season the team is competing and are just a few wins away from being in the playoff hunt.

I am very excited to see how the second half plays out.
