Recently in one of my blogs, I mentioned that I rarely go anywhere since I took up camping, or better put, have a  travel trailer at a campground in Pennsylvania. After taking a short trip a couple of weekends ago, it made me realize that there is something else beyond the campground.

Not that my camping experiences are not fun, because they are. To have a travel trailer that's all set up and ready for a great weekend or vacation stay is awesome, but that's about all I have been doing for over a decade.

Now that I reminded myself, taking short day trips or even a weekend overnight stay somewhere that's at least 3 or 4 or more hours away, I'm going to take advantage of it, especially since camping season ended this past weekend for me.

Yes, Winter weather is almost here, and traveling may be curtailed a bit due to inclement weather, but I've decided that if the opportunity exists, I will take it. Trip number one is coming soon, and it's a short day trip, but I'm looking forward to it.

If you find yourself in the same routine, take a chance. Find something you'd like to do or see. Even if it's only a trip to Syracuse or Scranton or Albany. Discover the world around you and broaden your horizons!
