An elderly Susquehanna woman is dead in what police describe as a "DUI Fatal" incident involving drugs.

In a news release from the State Police in Gibson,Troopers say they responded to a motor vehicle-vs-pedestrian collision at around 6:20 p.m. on March 16 and say they found 73-year-old Linda Terboss ad been hit by a vehicle while crossing Route 11 in Great Bend Township.

Terboss was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, 59-year-old Benjamin VanLoan of Vestal, submitted to field sobriety testing and taken for blood testing. Troopers say the results of those tests are “pending confirmation.”

State Police say their investigation is ongoing.
