Students Flock to Binghamton for the Bar Crawl

Graduation activities are getting underway as both Binghamton University and SUNY Broome Community College present diplomas this weekend.

One of the most talked-about pre-graduation events is the Binghamton Bar Crawl in downtown Binghamton.  Hundreds of students are expected in the area of the State Street bars.

Binghamton Mayor Richard David says increased police patrols are ready to keep an eye on the celebration of the end of classes.

Motorists should bear in mind the increased number of people expected downtown into the early morning hours May 20 and, starting at 1 p.m. May 19, State Street is being closed between Court and Hawley Streets.
