Special Early Morning COVID Booster Set for Norwich
Work is continuing to boost the numbers of people in New York and the Southern Tier who are not only vaccinated against COVID-19 in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but also to get those who are vaccinated the booster shot to increase their body’s defenses against the virus and becoming seriously ill.
Chenango County’s Health Department has scheduled a Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson booster clinic Friday, January 14 that may be more convenient for people going to work. The clinic will be from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the old Label Shopper Store in the South Plaza on Route 12 in Norwich.
The Broome County Health Department January `` had a handful of appointments available for the Moderna booster while there were more appointments available toward the end of the month for the Pfizer and Moderna booster shots as well as a clinic for the Johnson and Johnson booster on the 27th.
Vaccinations and boosters are also being given Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at the New York State mass vaccination site at the former Davis College Campus on Riverside Drive in Johnson City and at area pharmacies by appointment online at those pharmacy websites.

Appointments for rapid tests for COVID can also be made at the County website. Tests are being given daily at the Health Department as well as Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the site at Davis College and also weekdays at a new site at the Binghamton University Foundation in the former Gannett printing facility next to the Johnson City Walmart.
