UPDATE: Fatal Crash Investigated in Windsor

Broome County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a fatal crash in the Town of Windsor.

Authorities say a GMC van was traveling north on Route 79 near North Windsor Berries shortly at 5:38 p.m. August 1 when the driver apparently lost control and the vehicle slammed into a tree on the west side of the road.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
