A lot of people complain about living in the Binghamton area. And yeah, we have a lot of issues here, but one great thing about our community is the way people help each other out in times of need. We've seen it after the floods and anytime there is a need for help.

There is a lot of organizations in our area that help people in need. One of those organizations is the Impact Project. The Impact Project uses volunteers as well as donated money and supplies, to make repairs at people's houses that could not afford to make the repairs themselves.

This past weekend some of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies players helped the Impact Project help a young couple in Binghamton. The couple's house needed some roofing work done as well as some painting. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies rolled up their sleeves and helped to paint and did some landscaping work too.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are continuing to help the Impact Project this Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium. If you purchase tickets for their Tuesday night game through the Impact Project's website, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to this nonprofit organization so they can help even more needy people throughout the Southern Tier.

You can click here to order those tickets.

Below, you can hear an interview that I did with Eddie from the Rumble Ponies and Jim from the Impact Project. You'll learn how the project started, what they have done so far, and how you can help if you want to get involved.
