The Linus Project: Auchinachie Cares’ Latest Act Of Kindness Revealed
Our community is fortunate to have so many great charitable organizations. They help thousands with their services on a daily basis, and we appreciate what each one does for our community.
Many times, these organizations' amazing help goes unnoticed, but I bet we would notice if they were not around. Recognition from time would be nice, and that's just where the Auchinachie Cares program comes in.
Auchinachie Cares is a program that was launched in 2016 by Auchinachie Services. Every month, since then, a local non-profit organization has been chosen and presented with a donation of $1,000.00 to their cause.

You are encouraged to give each monthly non-profit chosen, a like and a share on the Auchinachie Cares Facebook page. This helps to bring awareness to our local non-profit organizations, and as a thank you, reward them for the great work they do in and for our community.
Also, anyone who knows of a local, Southern Tier area non-profit that you know is deserving of this recognition, let the Auchinachie Cares program know. So, who is the July 2024 Southern Tier non-profit of the month?
On July 16th, the Auchinachie Cares program will donate $1000 to the Linus Project of Broome and Tioga Counties. The Linus Project helps make quilts, fleece blankets, and crochet blankets for children in need in our region.
Auchinachie Cares notes:
The Linus Project encourages seniors, school kids, scouts, and adults from all walks of life to assist them in making quilts, fleece blankets, and crochet blankets.
These homemade blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, school organizations or anywhere a child might need a big hug. Every month they deliver over 100 blankets to our local hospitals to help calm kids going through surgery. This donation will go towards materials to help make more quilts and blankets, threads, fleece, yarns, and possibly a new sewing machine.
Thank you to the Linus Project for all that they do for our community. Give them a like and a share, and remember, if you know of a non-profit that deserves to be recognized, let the Auchinachie Cares program know.
