The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are home for their last stand of the season beginning tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) when they entertain the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium.  Binghamton has nine games to go in the season and plays the Sea Dogs five times and then close the season with four straight against the Hartford Yard Goats. The season comes to an end on Monday (Labor Day) with an afternoon game.

Vestal High graduate Michael Osinski, a 2017 Boston Red Sox draftee, spent some time earlier this month with the Sea Dogs.  In 17 games the infielder got 10 hits in 52 at-bats and had five RBI's.  Osinski was re-assigned to Class A Salem on August 21.

Tonight is the 18th meeting between the two teams this season.  The Rumble Ponies hold a 9-8 advantage in the series going into Monday night's action.  Thomas Szapucki is making his first Double-A start on the mound for the Rumble Ponies.  Bryan Mata counters for Portland.  He is 2-6 with a 6.30 ERA.
