Remember that road trip to a vacation destination you took with your family as a kid or as a parental unit?

Depending on where your road trip took you from home to that vacation destination, did you pass by interesting (or tacky) roadside attractions that try to lure you in?

I remember on one trip seeing signs for a reptile farm. I don't remember what state or highway we were on, but my wife begged me to stop in. There are snakes on a reptile farm, correct? Yep. Well then, no way. I am not a fan of snakes.

Driving on Route 66 in Arizona many years back, we passed several tacky Route 66-type stores, and while I was tempted to stop and buy some of the junk for sale, I resisted the urge.

I asked on social media the question - "What USA roadside attraction did you pass by during your road trip vacations or travels in the past, that you wish you had stopped to visit (if any?)"

Maybe you saw the signs declaring that the world's largest ball of twine is just a few miles ahead (located in Darwin, Minnesota), perhaps the world's largest fork (Springfield, Missouri), or possibly the world's largest running chainsaw and working rifle (both in Ishpeming, Michigan.)

Here are a few responses I received from people who passed by these roadside attractions, but wished they had stopped in:
