Shots Fired in Binghamton's First Ward

Binghamton Police are sorting out the details of a reported shooting incident early March 18 in the First Ward.

Police were called shortly after 2 a.m. with a report that a man, possibly in his 20s, had been wounded when shots were fired roughly in the area of Elm Street and Spring Forest Cemetery.

The victim apparently was able to get to a residence a few blocks away to Winding Way for assistance.

There was no information available regarding a description of possible suspects, a vehicle that may have been involved or the nature of the victim’s injuries.
