Mondelez Global LLC, the company that produces Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies, has announced a recall of their chocolate chip cookies that were distributed nationwide.

According to Boston 25 News, The packages that are being recalled are 13 oz. Chewy Chips Ahoy. The reason they are being recalled is because of an unexpected solidified agent. The company says they have received some reports of potential adverse health effects due to the unexpected solidified ingredient.

If you have a 13 Oz package of chewy Chips Ahoy in your possession, check the retail UPC and best when used by dates.

Packages under the recall all have UPC 0 44000 03223 4 and have the following best used by dates:

07SEP2019.
08SEP2019.
14SEP2019.
15SEP2019.
