The year was 1988. The date - October 27th. That was the day 'Rattle and Hum' - the film, made it's premiere in Dublin, Ireland.

It was filmed primarily in 1987 during U2's Joshua Tree concert tour, and was directed by Phil Joanou. The album of 'Rattle and Hum' was released on October 10th, 1988. It reached the number one spot on album charts in the US, UK, Australia and many other countries.

For me, it's my favorite U2 album. When I listen to those songs today, it reminds me of a great time in my life back in 1988 and 1989. No need to get into details about that.

Songs including When Love Comes To Town, Helter Skelter, Silver and Gold, Bullet The Blue Sky and All I Want Is You, are my favorite. It's one album you just don't get tired of listening to.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, watch U2 performing an amazing live version All I Want Is You and Where The Streets Have No Name at Slane Castle in Ireland.
