It's a tropical heatwave! Well, this time it's a heatwave with some wildfire smoke thrown in for a bit more discomfort, on top of the humidity. Welcome to summer in the Southern Tier of New York and Northeast Pennsylvania.

According to the National Weather Service as of 11 a.m. on July 14, 2026, through 8 p.m (at least), we are in a Heat Advisory with dangerously hot conditions and heat index values up to 97 degrees possible.

The advisory is for most of the Southern Tier and Central New York, along with Northeast Pennsylvania. Check the National Weather Service for updates.
