PennDOT Wants Your Feedback On Winter Services

If there's one thing I've learned about social media, it is that people love to comment on almost everything. Before social media and the internet, the most common form of expression would be through a letter, phone call or a face-to-face conversation.

Although from some of the social media comments I've read, I don't think that most of the people who write them, at least the ones that are negative, mean, or slander, wouldn't dare to say those things to your face. Those that would, I'd stay away from.

I get a kick out of some social media comments that make no sense and shake my head at those who just want to continue to argue. If you're like me, you don't have time or patience for that. There are more important things in life to attend to, and it's a rare bird to change anyone's opinion on social media.

But there are some that welcome feedback, and one of those include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT.) If you live, work or commute through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, they want your feedback on their winter services.

“Winter operations are among our core services and our team takes pride in their mission. Through this survey, the public can help us measure expectations and identify education opportunities.” - PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian

PennDOT explains that the survey contains 17 questions, should only take about 5 minutes, and is available to fill out now through April 29th, 2022. Your response will be kept anonymous.

Survey questions include asking about your timeline expectations for safe and passable roadways in Pennsylvania, how you recieve roadway information, ranking snow removal priorites which is always a big concern for most residents who live in the Northeast U.S., and if you use the 511PA traveler information services, among other questions.
