While New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is touting the lowest positivity rates for the coronavirus since November 5, New York on April 22 reported over two-million cases to-date for the pandemic.  That number now stands at 2,002,512 with 4,996 new cases reported in the daily update.

There were 45 new deaths, including two in Tioga County, bringing the state-wide death toll to 41,678.  Tioga County has now lost 74 residents to the pandemic.

Broome County added 52 cases for a total of 17,142. There have been 331 lives lost.  Chenango County had 13 new cases bringing the pandemic total to 3,138.  There have been 72 deaths.  Cortland County reports nine new cases for a total of 4,221. There have been 63 deaths.  Delaware County had 12 additions to its pandemic case totals for 2,241.  There have been 47 deaths.
